Keep Calm And Ride On!

Good evening loves! I stopped in for two specific reasons tonight, the first being that I wanted to say my daily schedule is about to get a whole lot stressful and carefree, which means more time for blogging! With these next coming up days and weeks keep your eyes peeled for new fun things happening on the Tea Talk blog. I am planning on featuring lots of inspiration posts, DIY's, and also product/store reviews.

Ok, now that that announcement has been made, the second reason I am here is to show you the cute print and vintage knitting needles that I bought from Merry May Handmade at the Butter Toast Boutique the other day.

I have also really loved the story behind the "Keep Calm"posters, and have always really wanted one for myself. For those of you who do not know the story behind the poster it "was initially produced by the Ministry of Information in 1939 during the beginning of World War II, and was intended as a "last case scenario" to be used only should the Nazis succeed in invading Britain via Operation Sea Lion, in order to stiffen resolve. Two-and-a-half million copies were printed, although the poster was distributed only in limited numbers. (...) In 2000, a copy of the "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster was rediscovered in Barter Books, a second-hand bookshop in Alnwick, Northumberland," according to the Wikipedia website.

When I saw this lovely print of an altered version of the famous poster hanging in Merry May's room, I just knew it had to be mine.

Also, while in the Merry May's room I spotted these adorable vintage knitting needles that I thought would fit into my collection perfectly (they're a size in-between the two pairs that I own now).

They even came with a pretty fabric bow on them.

Tomorrow Scott and I are going on an adventure to the Kartchner Caverns outside of Tucson, Arizona. Check back for pictures of our trip! Oh, and also keep your eyes peeled for a sweet giveaway Friday!

Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday evening!
