A trip to the local lake...

Yesterday I decided to take a walk to the local lake here in Delta, Colorado. It was only about a five minute walk, but once I got there I felt like I was in a whole new place.

There are two main docks that lead to the lake, so after I visited the first one, a took another short walk to the second and spent some time there as well.

This little walk made me feel so much better, and more at peace with myself. Being away from your boyfriend/soulmate, family, friends, and normal habitat can be very hard, but with a little faith, some phone calls and skype dates, as well a walk to the nearby lake every once awhile, ones heart and mind can rest a little easier and see through the fog that may be clouding ones mind, and realize that everything is just fine.

Do YOU ever take little walks, or bike rides that really open up your heart and mind? I would love to hear your story.

  1. oooooo that is so pretty! i love to take walks to unwind, but definitly not in the snow, too cold! the best is fall when you can crunch all the leaves!

  2. Megan- Oh, fall is the best time to take a nature walk! I even like walking in snow, but I don't really have to worry about it every winter :]

  3. Very nice place! I hope, someday I will visit it, but there is 99% that I won't : ((

  4. It looks beautiful there! You're very lucky to have that so close by. I'm actually moving in August and my new building is right along the Welland Canal so I will have a pathway and docks steps from my apartment. I cannot wait to spend some time out there to clear my head.
