"Snails See The Benefits"

It's true, snails see the beauty in every inch, and on my recent drive through Utah that is exactly how I felt. The road was windy, and speeding by was not an option. If we would have, though, we would have missed this amazing opportunity to pull over and admire a beautiful bridge that sat in the middle of nowhere.

I've always been a big fan of bridges, and this one was definitely up there on my list of favorites I have seen over the years (alongside the ginormous bridge over the Hoover Dam).

Something about driving of this bridge felt therapeutic. For a moment all I thought about was the road beneath the bridge, holding tight while our car drove on over it. It's kind of like life. It's like that constant that you know will never change. Sometimes you take it for granted, but you mostly sit back and remember how good it is to you, and how it is always there when you need a helping hand (in this case, the bridge helped us not fall in the dinosaur bone infested waters (I'm sure there was dinosaurs in there)).

Today is another busy day. I'm down to t-minus three days until I step foot onto a plane. I'm so happy it's almost here.

What are you up to today? Do you like bridges?

  1. I love bridges. There are tons of them in my area and my favorite by far is the St. Johns bridge - ( so you can see a pic!).

People even name their business around here with bridges in mind -

  2. I was gonna post the st. johns bridge too!!! the bridges are the one thing I love about portland, this one you found looks strikingly similar to my other favorite portland bridge the fremont bridge, I've been able to see it out my window for the past year. Beautiful.

  3. Great minds think alike in Bridgetown, Spencer! I love the drive over the Freemont bridge. Makes me feel like a bird flying over Portland! The view is out of this world! Checknout the Freemont, too,Chelsea!

  4. i love bridges. my favorite is in humboldt, california, and resembles this one a lot. it's hidden by trees and peeks out over, you'd miss it if you weren't watching for it. i'm scared of heights, but bridges can be strangely soothing.

  5. Gorgeous bridge!!! I like bridges, for the most part. One half of me LOVES them and the other half of me has a major FEAR of them!

  6. I love the song that this post is named after. :)

I'm from Pittsburgh, so I definitely know and love bridges very much!

Actually, I really freak out when driving on bridges. Have you ever seen the Coronado Bridge? Scares me so badly.
