Sunset Bridge

Happy Halloween! It's one of my favorite days of the year! I've always loved Halloween, and the fall season has always held a special place in my heart. This year Scott and I don't really have any big plans, but I hope we will be doing something fun to celebrate. After all, it is the spookiest day of the year!

This weekend seemed to go by so fast! On Friday we had a full day of celebrating Scott's birthday! We went out for birthday lunch and dinner, did a little shopping, and ate delicious cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. It really was such a lovely day! Most of Saturday and Sunday was spent doing homework, and running errands. On Saturday around sunset we did go out to Tempe to check out the new walking bridge that just opened. There was a chill in the air, and I couldn't help bundling up in my favorite cardigan and new boots.

This wooden J was giving to me by (John) Scott as a part of my anniversary gift. Wood is the traditional five year anniversary gift, and it was so thoughtful of him to think of something like that. I absolutely love it!

I recently received these Jackie Boots from Blowfish Shoes. I'm in love with how light they are, and the full zipper is perfect. I foresee wearing them a lot this winter! I can't believe it's finally getting cold! ECK!

Scott and I both really love this new bridge. We've been waiting forever for it to open. It's main purpose is to shade rubber "bladders" that hold our lake together, but it's gorgeous, and taking a walk down down it during sunset is the best. I feel like we will be spending lots of time here this fall and winter, taking walks down it and around Tempe Town Lake.

Our views this evening was picture-esque. It was so gorgeous out, and the weather was perfect.

The little grey clouds on the top right were from fireworks that were going off during the big ASU Homecoming game. I'm not a big football fan, but I think it's great that we won our game that night.

The sunset in the other direction was unreal. Scott and I must have taken a million photos between our camera and Iphone. It truly was a beautiful evening, and was exactly what I needed to refresh from my continuos study sessions.

Outfit details:
Cardigan: Target
Blouse: Gap
Necklaces: Anniversary gifts
Jeans: Levi's
Jackie Boots: c/o Blowfish Shoes

Do you have any spooky plans for Halloween? Do you have any traditions you do on All Hallow's Eve? I'm looking for something special to do this evening!
Happy Halloween!

  4. wow so so so picturesque indeed! Love those last few pictures. What kind of camera does Scott have? Cute necklace, I like it better that he gave you a "J," adds some fun mystery. Adorable boots too. We're excited to pass out candy to the cute little trick-or-treaters this evening since we were in Mexico last year. Hope you have lots of fun in store too girl : )

I just want to say - I love your blog and your pictures, particularly all the coffee ones ... I am also a graduate student so I have a good understanding of how coffee = life. Haha. Happy Halloween!

And I dig the boots. I recently bought a flat pair of brown boots & couldn't be happier.
