Summer Stroll

Even though Summer is definitely still on the horizon, my mind keeps wandering to what August and the fall season will hold. My final year of graduate school is just around the corner, and my favorite season is finally getting closer and closer. However, I still feel like July deserves a proper send off, and time well spent doing enjoyable things.

On my Summer Must List I wanted to find at least one good read for the summer months, and I feel like I've finally fallen into it. After seeing it around at Barnes and Noble, and reading about it on Emma's blog, I was convinced I needed to read The Night Circus. I'm really loving the story line so far, and absolutely adore the time period the book is set in. I hope to do a mini review when I finish it up! After all, I did always really love the idea of doing book reviews while in J school!

Now looking more back at my Summer Must List, I'm feeling pretty accomplished. I'm still, however, on the search for a comfy pair of sandals. I have a pair of Birkenstocks that I love, but they are a bit clunky. If you anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them! Also I recently found my summer tunes, or tune for that matter. My favorite band, Stars, never seems to disappoint, and I've been jamming out to their latest single, The Theory of Relativity, ever since it hit the interweb a weeks ago!

Outfit details:
Dress: Angie
Purse: Vintage Coach
Sandals: c/o Jack Rogers

I'm off to get a few errands done, and to spend some time running around (literally, he is a ball of energy!) with my sweet pup, Scout. What are you up to today? Have you made a dent in your Summer Must List yet?

  1. Good gracious you are a lovely lady! I just ordered a pair of Saltwater Sandals for our trip to Chicago. I'm anticipating that they'll be great walking around shoes and awesome waterproof shoes for when it inevitably rains. Are Saltwaters comfy? I've heard good things!

They're very casual, but I've always loved Sanuk sandals.

  2. Your dress is so pretty!

I've been on the look out for a pair of super comfy everyday sandals myself, too. Something I can go to work in, walk around town in, and not get blisters, you know? I was thinking maybe Chacos or Tevas, both of which are pretty popular with the hiking/environmental ed crowd around here.
